Poremaranc was founded in 2017 with a clear mission: to bridge the financial literacy gap in Ghana. We recognized that while many Ghanaians have access to financial services, few have received proper education on how to manage money effectively.
Our founder, Ama Nyarko, started by hosting free financial workshops in community centers across Accra. The overwhelming response showed the hunger for practical financial knowledge among everyday Ghanaians. What began as small community sessions has grown into a comprehensive financial education company serving thousands across the country.
Today, Poremaranc creates educational resources that translate complex financial concepts into practical, actionable steps that work in the Ghanaian context. We focus on developing materials that acknowledge local economic realities while providing pathways to financial security and wealth building.
Our name, Poremaranc, comes from the Akan phrase "pore ma ranc," which roughly translates to "examine carefully to succeed" – reflecting our belief that careful financial planning leads to prosperity.
